Donnie is a disaster. Not on purpose. Drama just, seems to follow him around. He’s the kind of guy who’s actually had his homework eaten by his dog. He’s been struck by lightning multiple times. And he keeps getting nicked because his doppelgänger is wanted by the Feds. These constant calamities have wrought chaos on his CV. Desperate, he turns to a gig he can’t lose - delivering for DoorDash. 

Determined to beat his cursed luck, Donnie decides to do whatever it takes to keep his customers happy and their dinner in one piece. With each delivery, Donnie faces a new challenge, whether it's an exotic animal on the loose, a sudden storm of the century or the start of a short-term apocalypse. Through his encounters, he learns about the diverse community he serves and begins to question his own beliefs and prejudices. “5 Stars” is a heartwarming and hilarious exploration of the gig economy, modern-day struggles, and the power of human connection.
